How to Use the Most Active Options Today
We use the Most Active Options list to find popular options trading opportunities:
- Total Options Volume is the number of completed options trades today. Open Interest is the total number of open option contracts right now. Higher volume underlying are easier to fill.
- Call Options Volume and Put Options Volume are the number of Call and Put contracts respectively. The market expects a bullish trend when Call volume is higher, while the market predicts a bearish trend with more Puts.
- IV Perc and IV Rank use a scale of 0-100% to indicate the current IV level relative to last year. Options prices are higher when IV Perc or IV Rank are >50%, meaning a good time to sell options; when IV Perc and IV Rank are lower, it's a great time to buy options when the prices are low.
